Preaching Workshops
ADVENT PREACHING SEMINAR
November 6 & 7, 2007
Presenter: Dr. Naomichi Masaki
THEME: "Preaching Advent Sermons with Dr. Luther"
A notable Luther scholar once remarked that “Luther’s Advent sermons are a microcosm of his spiritual world.” In this seminar, we will take a fresh look at Luther’s sermons of the Advent season. We will learn from him clarity of the Gospel with his remarkable theological insight and pastoral warmth. It will be our privilege to hear him proclaim that we are given Jesus in the flesh for our forgiveness, life, and salvation in a world which is filled with consumerism, moralism, and post-modern spirituality.
Registration fee is $30.00.
The workshop
will meet from 4:00-5:30 p.m. and 7:00-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, and 8:00-10:00
a.m. on Wednesday. Register on-line via the Good
Shepherd Institute Conference registration.

Christ can serve to proclaim the significance of Christ’s suffering.
